Chung-Ang University’s Department of Integrative Plant Science in Faculty of Bio-resource Engineering, Collage of Biotechnology is a major in which students can experience systematic learning over general plant resources and plant industry. Recently, world-wide anxiety over food, environment, and resources has been rising due to unpredictable earth’s climate changes. Nevertheless, it is important to study and carry on researches of plant resources which has survived with mankind and will help survive in the future.
Researches using plant resources, high demanding field in our society, not only solve the problems in lack of food but also is a field of an applied science which can attribute to many social factors such as production of bio-energy using plant biotechnology, ecological landscape for purifying natural and urban environment, production of high-quality fruit, breeding new species which can easily adapt to climate changes, production of natural clinic substances from plant material, production of useful antibody through interaction between plant and microorganism, and etc. Plant is our last hope for the mankind’s survival in the future.
The students majoring Integrative Plant Science are those who love plant and do plant science which can help people. These students are like children who are amazed at the wonders of nature and are those who can be harmonized within the nature. The students who have curiosity like children are enjoying their lives with their hobbies, club activities, and doing what they have interests in, aside from their studies.
The professors in Department of Integrative Plant Science are all aiming to be the top in their fields and are true educators who walk along with their students through their path.
